Building survey and evaluating the state construction

This diploma thesis deal with the building survey and evaluating the state of existing constructions. In theoretical part are described the types of civil engineering surveys and diagnostic methods for conducting a survey of reinforced concrete structures. The practical part deal with describes the structural and technical survey of the production hall in the industrial area Fatra Napajedla, evaluating the strength of concrete on the existing structure through donations cores and verification of compliance with the reinforcement according to project documentation. The last part is focused on a static assessment of selected supporting elements of the structure.

Possibilities of using GPR to detect reinforcement of concrete structures

The aim of this study is to outline how is GPR used to detect reinforcement in concrete structures. In each part the study deals with diagnostic testing methods used for building construction and shows a recognisability of steel reinforcement in concrete. Then it closely examines applications of GPR in a diagnostics of reinforced concrete structures with using Hilti PS 1000 device. In the practical part I conducted a building survey of wall silo using GPR and electromagnetic indicators. The aim was to identify the position of reinforcement which was subsequently compared with the project documentation. The construction survey was carried out as a reason of several serious defects such as cracks and tilting of major part of one of the silo walls.

This diploma thesis is focused on building survey and evaluating of the state of the three-storey industrial hall. The diploma thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part is described a common procedure for evaluation of the state of existing structures, methods used in diagnostics (selected ones - more detailed), advantages and disadvantages of methods. In the practical part is carried out construction and technical survey of the industrial hall, the concrete strength evaluation and verification of presence and type of reinforcement. At the end of the work - evaluation of objects.

This thesis deals with the construction survey and diagnostics of the New synagogue in Velké Meziříčí. The aim of the work is to perform an inspection, construction survey of the building and evaluation of its current condition using classical survey and diagnostic methods. The work is processed as the final report from the construction and technical survey of the building. It contains its course and results. The main part of the survey is brick masonry, its failures and structural assesment. The thesis includes also survey of foundation structures, the history and description of the building.

This thesis deals with building survey and diagnostics of residential house in Brno, which since its construction showed extensive faults. The theoretical presents to the general issue of building technical surveys, diagnostics reinforced concrete structures and describes methods for diagnosis of reinforced concrete structures. Practical part deals with building survey and diagnostics of the object including static assessment. Overall assessment is given in the conclusion.

Diagnostics methodology of historical brickwork

The aim of my bachelor’s thesis is to carry out historical overview of progress of masonry building elements and structures, including their thorough methodology of diagnostics. The introduction text is considering historical progress of masonry elements in Czech Republic and abroad. As following are described brick manufacturing methods of present and past, which is closely related to the progress of brick dimensions and its visual appearance. On sample specimen can be observed mentioned progress in the visual appearance, mechanical properties and so on. The diagnostics of masonry structures is realised via particular tests described in the thesis. Important tests used for overall evaluation are determining brick dimensions, it is volume density, absorption, compressive strength determined via destructive and non destructive methods. Also flexural tensile strength and compressive strength of the mortar. Output of my thesis is overall evaluation of all parts mentioned above.
